Renaming a Map

Campaigns on Obsidian Portal take a great deal of tweaking, editing and reworking to get just right. They're also living things that change over time as the game continues. Adventure log posts are added as the story progresses. Characters are updated as they live, grow and die. Locations can change too, and sometimes this includes the name. Perhaps a castle is reduced to ruins; maybe a region is contaminated by a blight; or maybe you simply don't like your first choice of name and want a different one. Whatever the case may be, changing the name of your map is easily done.

To rename a map:

1. Navigate to the dashboard of the campaign you wish to rename a map on.
2. Click the "Maps" tab.
3. Click the edit icon for the map to be renamed.
4. Enter a new name in the "Map Name" input field.
5. Click the "Save" button.

After saving, you will be presented with a notification letting you know that "Your map has been updated."

Note: Alternatively, you may click on a map to view it and then click the edit icon.
